CWA ICWA Foundation - Provisional Registration
A provisional registration is a registration that is temporary and which would be regularised on fulfilling certain conditions in the future. The registration would be canceled if the conditions required are not met within the prescribed time limit.
Provisional Registration enables you to register for the course without having to wait for the results of the qualifying examination.
Students who have appeared at the examination that would enable them to be eligible for registration (if passing/getting through the same) i.e. the 10 + 2 or equivalent examination, can register for the course provisionally, if they are confident of getting through the said examination.
The student registering provisionally has to provide proof of having appeared at the examination (a photo copy of the hall ticket).
The procedure for registering provisionally is the same as that for Regular Registration.
The application for registration is the same as the one used for regular registration.
The difference being that, a candidates appends a copy of the examination hall ticket for provisional registration instead of a copy of the marks sheet of the qualifying examination.
By supplementary candidates, we mean those candidates who are passing the qualifying examinations during through the september/october supplementary examinations.
These students are also treated on par with the regular candidates. A student passing the qualifying exam at the first attempt and the one passing after a prior failed attempt would have the same standing.
Candidates appearing for the supplementary examinations can also register provisionally at that time (i.e. after appearing for the supplementary examination).
The normal examination pattern includes the conduction of regular (final) examinations during the months of march/april/may and supplementary examinations during the months of September/October/November.
Some universities and boards are conducting the supplementary examinations after a short time gap after the announcement of the results of the main examinations. These would fall somewhere in the month of May/June/July
A candidates can get registered for the Foundation Level/Course based on the hall ticket for the advanced supplementary examinations.
Candidates who have registered provisionally for the courses based on the hall ticket issued to them for the regular final examination in March/April/May need not register again, if they have failed at that examination and are appearing at the advanced supplementary examination.
If they pass the advanced supplementary examination, that would form the proof of passing the qualifying examination.
However, the results of the advanced supplementary examinations should be out within such time that would enable a candidate to submit the proof of passing the qualifying examination within the maximum time limit allowed for such submission.
Provisional Registration is subject to the condition that the candidate would provide the result of the said qualifying examination within the prescribed time limit i.e. 3 months from the date of making application for registration.
Failing to provide the results of the qualifying examination would result in the registration getting canceled.
A candidate whose registration is canceled on account of failure to submit the proof of passing the qualifying examination will have to register afresh to pursue the course.
No consideration would be given for the coaching (oral/postal) for the course that has already been taken up or completed.
There is no provision for refund of fees for those candidates whose provisional registration has been cancelled.
There is no provision for adjustment of fees for those candidates who are re-registering on their provisional registration being cancelled.
